Originally from Hangzhou, China, Yilan Hua has become one of the leading faces of a new generation of Chinese models. Since making her international runway debut for Bottega Veneta, she has established herself as a major presence on the global fashion circuit, walking an industry-leading 89 shows in 2023 according to Tagwalk. Yilan has worked with many of fashion's most prestigious houses, including Chanel, Fendi, Christian Dior, Michael Kors, and Stella McCartney. Her career has also seen her appear at the Cannes Film Festival and feature in campaigns and editorials for leading international publications, including Vogue. Originally a competitive athlete, Yilan discovered modelling after watching a Victoria's Secret show and moved to Shanghai to pursue the opportunity. Signed by The Face, Why Not, and PRM, she continued working internationally throughout the pandemic, helping establish her as one of the industry's most in-demand runway models. Away from fashion, Yilan enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures, and is a longtime fan of the comedy series Mr. Bean. Her favourite adventures include visiting Egypt and cruising along the Nile, reflecting her passion for discovering the world beyond the runway.
